Sylvania Area Federal Credit Union was organized by teachers of the Sylvania School system in the 1960's. Sylvania City employees joined SAFCU in the 1970's and the township of Sylvania joined Sylvania Area Federal Credit Union in the 1980's; in 2002 the Credit Union expanded to the community. If you live, work, go to school, volunteer in the Sylvania area, you are eligible to be a member. Your friends, neighbors and co-workers sit on the board of directors and have your needs in mind. Our credit union services are designed especially for you. When you do business with the Sylvania Area Federal Credit Union, you become a member of a unique group.

People think about saving money it revolves around an item they would like to purchase or some other goal to acquire something. This is out of ones financial reach on a paycheck to paycheck basis. My question to you is; that if one has the ability to save money for a item that one would like to have and purchase it after a short term savings, why doesn’t one look at retirement the same way?
