Sylvania Area Federal Credit Union was organized by teachers of the Sylvania School system in the 1960's. Sylvania City employees joined SAFCU in the 1970's and the township of Sylvania joined Sylvania Area Federal Credit Union in the 1980's; in 2002 the Credit Union expanded to the community. If you live, work, go to school, volunteer in the Sylvania area, you are eligible to be a member. Your friends, neighbors and co-workers sit on the board of directors and have your needs in mind.
